Excellent staff. Perfect location to access the Battlefields and take in the history of the surrounding areas. We will certainly highly recommend this venue.

- Alan,

Battlefields hotel is conveniently located to access the famous Zulu battlefields of Isandlwana, Rorkes Drift & Blood River. The bedrooms are spacious with large beds. There is a certain charm to the place and we enjoyed it.

- AvidTraveler,
Friendly staff and comfortable accommodation.
- Carol,

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful oasis.

- Cathy,

Beautiful environment and reasonable pricing. I intend to revisit sometime in the future.

- Chris,

We have just returned from a wonderful touring holiday of South Africa with Riviera Travel and had great pleasure in spending several days with you from 30th March to 1st April.

We were celebrating our 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary and would just like to thank you for making our stay with you so comfortable and enjoyable. What a very kind gesture to put a delicious bottle of bubbly and chocolates in our room. We were very touched and it made our stay so special.

Please pass on our thanks to your staff. We had a wonderful time and just hope one day we will have the opportunity of revisiting you. The room and view was beautiful, the food absolutely delicious and your staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for making our time with you so wonderful.

With very best wishes

- Christine & Michael Hughes,

Your Receptionist displayed exemplary service, who was full of joys on our late arrive (21h45).

- Clyde,

Both the ladies at reception were amazing. And the gentleman who washed our car early on a very cold morning, very sweet. The lady security at the boom gate who always had a friendly smile.

Highlight of stay was being able to spend time with my family and son before his farewell, in a beautiful place that offered us awesome photo opportunities.

- Dalene,

There was a very high level of security on entry and the facilities were excellent. Walking round the grounds revealed views of wildlife, a swimming pool and a large pond. The staff were friendly and helpful.

- Eris,
Very cozy place to be at. Wedding venue, Accommodation and Conference centre too.
- Felicia,

Stay as you are. Value for money. Clean, convenient, safe. Plenty facilities. Convenient

- Graham,

I have stayed here before and have some fond memories of those previous outings. Nothing much has changed and it is still a lovely and comfortable place for an overnight stop. The lodge has great gardens where you can take a relaxing walk, feed some ostriches if that is on your to do list or just sit on the porch of Rosies cottage and enjoy the fresh air. The buffet dinner was delicious. The area around the lodge is steeped in historic battle grounds and has some museums that you could visit if you have the time. Take a few days out and see the countryside around Battlefields and you will come back for more.

- Henk,

Getting together with like-minded pilots is always a pleasure and I will continue to attend the Fly-Away for as long as I possibly can.

- JJ says after the Annual Battlefields Fly-in Event,

Countryside atmosphere. The view from the pool was so magnificent. The staff were also very welcoming and looked after our property well. The place is quite and relaxing. I liked the fact that it was also safe and my dirty car was washed.

- Keo,

All my experience at your lodge is a highlight. Waking in a morning with animals roaming is superb too.

- Lorna,

Excellent staff. We were efficiently upgraded to a quieter part of the lodge, due to a \’party\’ group next to us. Perfect location to access the Battlefields and take in the history of the surrounding areas. We will certainly highly recommend this venue.

- Lucrisha,

The bar man who was on duty on Friday afternoon 25th May – a great young man indeed. The overall service from reception to kitchen, even the guy at the packing bays. It was awesome to see him stop what he was doing to show us where we could park to be closer to our room and walking us to the room. The highlight was for the owner to find time to come greet us and had a chat with us. That made us feel warmly welcomed. Thank you.

- Maria,

Views to die for.

- Mark,

Heaven on Earth. We were invited to a wedding and spent the Friday and Saturday night at the Lodge. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. We had a fabulous weekend and I would recommend this to anyone who would like a weekend away in the country and if you are looking for a venue for a wedding, this is certainly one to consider. Such beautiful surrounding and immaculate gardens. Will definitely be back.

- Michie,

- MR Shangase,

My Weekend Fly-In to Battlefields. As a low hour Pilot stretching his wings to his first fly in destination, the welcome and assistance at Battlefields made my trip memorable, and having a bit of wind, my aircraft was secured by the friendly staff giving me peace of mind so I could enjoy my stay at this beautifully kept Country Lodge. The reception at Battlefields was Exceptional, The accommodation and the ever helpful staff made our stay heavenly. The warm cosy beds in clean rooms gave us a wonderful nights sleep. Evenings are spectacular. A tranquil place to take the whole family, very safe, and the personal Managerial hand, kept any unpleasantness far away. To the owners, Sir I salute you on a well run establishment. I will recommend your place anytime.

- Naren,

Caters for all from affordable to luxury. Nicest cost effective place to stay in Dundee.

- Neville,

Had a great stay here. The place is a bit old but beautifully clean and well cared for. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Made a good rest either side of the battlefields and museum trips.

- Peter,

Battlefield was wonderful I had a peaceful sleep. The staff were nice, I would definitely come back in September during my birthday.

- Phumelele,
The lady at reception, sorry I don’t know her name. Her welcome was incredibly warm and she made us feel at home immediately. She was also very helpful in showing us around the property and to our rooms. To be fair, all of the staff were great.
Great place, great staff, situated in a wonderful part of the world.
- Richard,
We had a brilliant tour of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift and the accommodation we thought was just “a bed for the night”. What a pleasant Surprise Battlefields Country Lodge turned out to be. Comfortable beds, clean, interesting rooms and excellent meals. The evening carvery was outstanding. Friendly staff made this visit even more memorable. We would definitely recommend Battlefields Country Lodge.
- Ruth,

We enjoyed our stay. And having such good staff made it so much easy, they very kind and always there to assist should need be. The food and the cleanliness on point. Love this place. Been here twice and would love to come back as many times.

- Simphiwe,

Brilliant countryside lodge. Clean, spacious rooms.

- Songe Chisi,

Safe, secure and quirky silos to stay in. I ended up staying an extra night and moved to an upstairs silo where I got to see the intricacies of the roof. Definitely worth a stopover.

- Stephen,

I want to thank you and your entire team for all the support you gave us in preparing for our wedding, as it was out of this world. Everything we needed was given with ease.
Thanks a million.

- Thami Lukhele,

All the staff were friendly and we received good service from everyone! Our kids loved the play area and the animals they could see, especially the Zebras.
